Zenhomes closes Series-A Financing Round of 14.5 million US Dollar

EWE, SIGNA Innovations and MOMENI Digital Ventures invest in the PropTech start-up.

Existing investors invest further capital in Zenhomes.

The funds from the financing round will be used to expand the team and platform of the core brand Vermietet.de.

Vermietet.de is a pioneer in the digitalization of the real estate industry and offers all services along the life cycle of real estate.

Berlin, August 14, 2019 – PropTech startup Zenhomes announces that it has raised $14.5 million in its Series-A financing round. The new investors in the financing round, which was signed on 12 August, were energy supplier EWE, Austrian company SIGNA Innovations and MOMENI Digital Ventures. The Family Office of serial entrepreneur and investor Christian Angermayer, the Apeiron Investment Group, also participated in the financing round.

Existing investors around Swiss Life, Deutsche Bank, Axa and main incubator (research and development department & early stage investor of the Commerzbank Group) underline their renewed participation with the confidence in Zenhomes and the core brand Vermietet.de. Venture capital investor Bitstone Capital and Berlin Technologie Holding (BTH) also continue to invest. The start-up thus unites the most renowned private PropTech investors under one roof. To date, Zenhomes has raised over 19 million US dollars in three financing rounds.

Zenhomes’ vision is to create an ecosystem of networked, digital platforms around the concept of living. It brings together landlords, tenants and service providers, such as craftsmen or estate agents. As the only platform in Germany, the core brand Vermietet.de already provides private landlords and property managers with integrated digital services for property management, such as rental management, asset management or building maintenance. The users profit from a seamless experience, which makes the increase of transparency possible and reduces time-consuming, repetitive tasks and losses due to mismanagement.

Jannes Fischer, CEO and founder of Zenhomes, says: “The real estate market is changing: Investors increasingly include young players who have modern demands on their assets. Fischer’s ambition is clear: “Our goal is to become the leading aggregator of residential space in Germany with Vermietet.de in the coming year”. – Currently, 75,000 users manage around 225,000 residential units via Vermietet.de.
