BitStone Capital invests in building technology specialist synavision

Bielefeld, 06.12.2018 – BitStone Capital, an internationally operating venture capital investor and company builder, has expanded its existing investment portfolio of innovative proptech start-ups with the building technology specialist synavision GmbH.
synavision develops innovative methods for digital quality management in the construction industry. With its software-as-a-service solution “digital test bench”, complex functions of building technology and automation can be specified in software-based planning and automatically tested during operation. For the first time, builders, specialist planners, installers and operators receive detailed and transparent specifications and assessments of building performance.
Kai Panitzki, Managing Director of BitStone Capital, confirms: “The shareholding in synavision is an important component of our strategy of linking digital business models around the building to a unique offer. With synavision, we are establishing the necessary processes to successfully exploit the great opportunities of smart technologies in construction. “

The synavision team is enthusiastic about the engagement. “All participants know that we can only use the potential of modern building technology if we massively improve the quality in planning, construction and operation,” emphasizes synavision founder and managing director, Dr. med. Stefan Plesser. “synavision has developed a key technology for this purpose. We will continue to develop this together with BitStone Capital and establish digital quality management in the real estate industry over the entire lifecycle of a building. This is a crucial step towards a more efficient and sustainable building stock. “
synavision seed investor Dirk U. Hindrichs emphasizes: “Now that synavision has demonstrated the need for efficient quality management in more than 250 buildings, we can establish the synavision brand and roll out the software on a large scale with BitStone Capital’s investment.”
Buildings will have a wealth of new and more complex “smart” features in the future, from cloud-based communication between individual technical components to artificial intelligence for optimal user support. With the synavision digital test bench, these functions are specified in digital models and can thus be defined and agreed upon as functional requirements for buildings. By means of interfaces to the technical systems and the building automation, the performance of the buildings is automatically checked transparent and contract-proof on acceptance and in regular operation on the basis of measured data. For the first time ever, synavision offers efficient quality management from planning to operation for smart buildings in order to guarantee optimum energy efficiency, a healthy room climate and a long service life of the systems.
